The Royal Canadian Mounted Police has invited applications for 9,999 new police officer vacancies. You can apply online until March 31, 2026. Candidates aged 18 and above can apply.

There are many vacancies available in Northern Canada, the Atlantic provinces, the Western territories, parks, and border control centres.

Police officers are required to prevent crime, investigate, respond to emergencies, maintain community relations, and comply with modern technology and legal systems.

Canadian citizens and permanent residents of Canada can apply. Permanent residents must have lived in Canada for at least 1,095 days in the last 5 years.

If selected, you will be invited to a 26-week training session at the RCMP Training Academy in Regina, Saskatchewan. You will receive a weekly cadet recruitment allowance of $525, free room and board, uniform, training equipment, courses, health insurance, and travel expenses to and from Regina during training.

Education:

A secondary school diploma recognized by a Canadian provincial/territorial government.
A degree/diploma/certificate from a recognized university or college in Canada or an educational equivalency obtained through the Canadian Information Center for International Credentials if your education was from outside Canada.
If you do not have a secondary school diploma and have not completed a post-secondary credential, you must successfully complete a Canadian Adult Education Credential (CAEC) or equivalent.
A valid driver’s license is required.
