Maintenance Worker Positions II and III (GL-MAN-03 and GL-MAN-05)
Parks Canada is looking to hire Maintenance Workers (GL-MAN-03 / GL-MAN-05). The work locations will be Maitland Bridge, Kejimkujik National Park, Annapolis, Liverpool, Nova Scotia, Canada. The role includes providing repair, maintenance and operation help across the parks and natural sites in Canada.
Key Responsibilities:
The main responsibility of selected candidates is to perform maintenance, repair and other services in the trails, roads, grounds and facilities. They will be operating boats, chainsaws and other tools and equipment. They will carry out the duties of a janitor. They will work on water and in remote locations.
Qualification:
To apply, the candidate should have a secondary school diploma or a combination of education and experience. They should know how to operate a computer. They should know how to operate canoes and boats. They should be able to supervise the team.
Experience:
The candidate should have basic knowledge of the duties that are to be performed during work. They should have strong communication skills. They should be able to work in stressful conditions.
Skills and Competencies:
The candidate should know how to operate the equipment, and they should know about the general maintenance. The candidates should be able to read and write the technical documents in the workplace.
