Student Employment Program
The National Research Council (NRC) of Canada is looking to hire candidates for the Student Employment Program (SEP). This program will help the students to gain work experience across different fields in Canada. This will be helpful for them in building a career in the future.
Key Responsibilities:
The main responsibilities of the selected candidates will be to participate in the field projects like computer science, engineering, research , business etc. They will participate and share their ideas in innovative projects and start-ups. They will work with different professionals across multiple disciplines. They will be responsible to practice safe workplace procedures and NRC standards.
Qualification:
The candidates should have a high school diploma with a B grade on average. They should already be enrolled in a college program and plan to return to it in the next semester. They should have a Reliability Status security clearance.
Experience:
There is no requirement for previous work experience. This program intends to provide work experience to the students and prepare them for real world jobs.
Skills and Competencies:
The candidate should take initiative, show creativity and problem solving skills. They should have a record of good academic performance. They should be a team player. Strong communication skills are a must.
Benefits
The selected students will be given $664 – $1436 per week (total of 37.5 hours). The candidates will be able to work in a hybrid setting. They will get exposure to world class work environment. They will receive training for the job they are selected for.
