Public Skating Attendant (Part-time)
The City of Ottawa’s Recreation , Cultural and Facility Services Department is looking to hire Public Skating Attendants in different cities across Canada. This is a part time job for those who are enthusiastic to ensure safety and inclusivity in the skating experience for the residents and visitors equally.
Key Responsibilities:
The main responsibilities of the selected candidates will include coordinating and supervising the specific skating programs. The candidates will provide direction and support to the participants. They will ensure compliance with risk management procedures and cash handling policies. They will perform the administrative responsibilities as well.
Qualification:
The candidates should have completed grade 10. They should have Standard First Aid, CPR and AED Operators certifications. They should have good skating skills. They should have good leadership training.
Experience:
The required experience for the position is a minimum of one year of experience in customer service or cash handling. They should have experience in leading recreational activities.
Skills and Competencies:
The candidates should be able to work independently. They should have strong decision making skills. They should be reliable and adaptive to changing policies. They should have good knowledge of cash handling. They should display strong leadership skills. The candidates should have good communication and interpersonal skills.
Benefits
The selected candidates will receive a salary of $17.20 – $18.21 per hour. This is a permanent part time position. The candidates can choose to work in a variety of shifts.
