Field Infrastructure Specialist

Statistics Canada is looking to hire multiple Field Infrastructure Specialists. The selected candidates will work under the Centre for Health Data Integration and Direct Measurement (CHDIDM). The work location will be at Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. The candidates will work in the Temporary Examinations Centres (TECs).

Key Responsibilities:

The selected candidates will be responsible for conducting searches on the sites and checking if they are up to the standards. They will negotiate the site arrangements. The candidates will supervise TEC setups. They will assist the management in the final selection. They will interact with the contractors and coordinators. They will maintain trailers, ramps and equipment. The candidates will prepare layouts. They will prepare technical documentation.

Required Qualifications:

The candidates should have a Millwright certification. They could also hold a combination of education and relevant experience or training. They should be able to lift up to 25lbs. They should be bilingual. The candidates should be eligible to get reliability status clearance.

Experience Needed:

The candidates should know how to repair and troubleshoot things in the field. They should maintain safety. They should know how to replace mechanical components. The candidates will be responsible for handling service requests. They should know how to coordinate the logistics.

Skills and Competencies:

The candidates should know how to coordinate a team. They should have good written and spoken communication skills. They should take accountability. The candidates should have analytical skills.
