L08 Technical Officer

The Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) is looking to hire candidates for the position of Technical Officers (L08). The job location will be Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. The candidates will look after the deployment and operations of technology used in the Intelligence sector.

Key Responsibilities:

The candidates will be responsible for developing and implementing the technologies. They will provide advice on complex technology matters. They will conduct training and provide operational support to the teams. The candidates will be responsible for collaborating with various teams for the integrated operations. They will maintain the software. They will troubleshoot the technical problems.

Qualification:

The candidates should have completed a 2 year post-secondary education in computer science, IT, engineering, cyber security or a related field. A combination of education and relevant experience is also acceptable. The candidates should have some of the following knowledge : conducting training and providing technical support. Software troubleshooting, using defensive security technology or technical analysis.

Experience:

The candidates should have experience in any of the following: Network Technology and security, Cyber security, Communication Technology, Technical collection or regional IT systems support.

Skills and Competencies:

The candidates should possess skills like collaboration, flexibility in behaviour. They should have strong organizational skills. They should be able to multitask. The candidates should be good at analytical reasoning. They should be good at innovations.
