Correctional Officer II – Healing Lodges (CX-02)
The Correctional Services Canada (CSC) is looking to hire Correctional Officers II (CX-02). The job location will be healing lodges in BC, Edmonton and Saskatchewan, Canada. These are full time job opportunities. The candidates who identify as Indigenous should apply for this post.
Key Responsibilities:
The candidates are required to be responsible for integrating a healing component into the offender’s case. They will support the offenders in their healing journey. They will conduct security checks. The candidates will brief the visitors. They will prepare the reports. The candidates will be responsible for maintaining the safety. They will work in shifts.
Qualification:
The candidates should have a secondary school diploma. They should have cleared the Public Service Commission equivalency test. They should have standard first aid and CPR level C with AED certification. The candidates should have knowledge of indigenous history and traditions.
Experience:
There is no requirement of previous experience, but if the candidates have worked with indigenous people before, that would be considered an asset.

The candidates should be able to work respectfully. They should be able to motivate the offenders to get better. They should have strong ethics. They should be a team player. They should have good communication skills. They should have good judgment skills.
Benefits
