Probation Officer (Growth)

The BC Public Service is looking to hire a Probation Officer (Growth). The candidate will be working as Social Program Officer R24. The job location will be Prince Rupert, BC in Canada. The candidate will be working to provide services to the community safety.

Key Responsibilities:

The selected candidate will be responsible for handling the client risk. They will be creating a good case management plan. They will supervise the clients. They will support the courts. They will work within the justice system. The candidate will collaborate with the community agencies. They will keep a documentation. They will be a part of on ongoing training program.

Qualification:

The candidate is required to have a Bachelor’s degree from a Canadian Institute. They could also have a 2 year diploma and 3 years of full time work experience. They should have completed the Adult Probation Officer prerequisite course. They should have a valid driver’s license.

Experience:

The candidate should have experience working with people who have been through traumatic experiences in life. The candidates who have done Probation Officer duty for 6 months or longer will be given preference.

Skills and Competencies:

The candidate should have strong analytical thinking. They should have good communication skills. They should be able to work with empathy. They should be able to work in a professional setting.

 Benefits

The Level 1 candidate will get a salary of $40.4790 hourly and the Level 2 candidate will get a salary of $41.6719 hourly. Full Working Level candidate will get a salary of$42.9039 – $48.8751 hourly, plus a 1 Grid Market Adjustment. The hybrid work option is available for the candidates. The candidates will be eligible for comprehensive health benefits. They will be given pension benefits. The candidate will get to work in a supportive environment.
