Senior Contracting Officer

The National Research Council of Canada (NRC) is looking to hire Senior Contracting Officers. The selected candidates will work in the Finance and Procurement Services Branch. The job locations will be in different parts of Canada. This will be a hybrid work opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:

The selected candidates will be leading the work for high level services and construction projects. They will prepare the procurement tasks. They will make contracts. They will issue the international tenders. They will check the different submissions. They will be advising the international clients. The candidates will apply LEAN methods. They will conduct market research. They will look for new technologies and implement it.

Qualification:

The candidates are required to have a secondary school diploma. They can also have a degree. A combination of education and relevant experience is also acceptable.

Experience:

The candidates should have 3 years of experience working as a contracting officer. They should have 5 years of experience in the procurement industry. The candidates should have experience with SAP or any similar ERP system.

Skills and Competencies:

The candidates should have knowledge of procurement legislation. They should have good analytical skills. They should be good at operating computers. They should be good at managing SAP material. They should have good communication skills. They should know how to take initiative.
