General Services Coordinator

The  Ministry of transportation is looking to hire a dedicated general Service Coordinator. The job location will be Clinton, West Region, Canada. This will be a temporary 12 months job opportunity. The candidate will look after the maintenance operations.

Key Responsibilities:

The selected candidate will be responsible for planning different maintenance contracts. Their focus will be on bridges and culverts. They will look after the transportation-related services. The candidate will make sure that the work is done under the contract documents. They will review the contractor’s work. They will look after the cost estimates. The candidate will monitor the use of funds. They will do day to day tasks.

Education:

The candidate should have post-secondary education in civil engineering, construction technology, transportation infrastructure or project management. They should have a valid Class 5 driver’s license. The candidate should have knowledge of the maintenance of roads and bridges. They should know about the procurement processes. The candidate should know how to read the technical drawings.

Experience:

The candidate should have experience of working in infrastructure maintenance or construction projects before. They should have experience in leading contractors and a team. The candidate should have experience in managing finance.

Skills and Competencies:

The candidate should have strong analytical skills. They should have good interpersonal skills. They should know how to plan. The candidate should be good at leadership.
