Logistics Officer

The Ministry of Forests, BC Wildfire Service is looking to hire a Logistics Officer (ADMN O 15R). The job location will be Kamloops, British Columbia, in Canada. This is a temporary job position with a hybrid role.

Key Responsibilities:

The candidates will be responsible for coordinating the logistics. They will look after the management. The candidate will help prevent the wildfire. They will look after the 6 fire centres. They will keep the  records. They will maintain the inventories. They will help with acquiring the equipment. The candidate will collaborate with the internal teams. They will participate in the Incident Command System (ICS). The candidate will be travelling to the remote locations. They will have a standby duty.

Required Qualifications:

The candidate should have a Grade 12 graduation. They should have a valid Class 5 driver’s license. The candidate should be able to use a basic computer. They should be able to complete the basic training and certification.

Experience Needed:

The candidate should have experience working with Excel. They should have experience working in the administration. The candidate should have experience working with logistics. They should have experience in emergency response. The candidate should have experience in procurement management.

Skills and Competencies:

The candidate should have good organisational skills. They should pay attention to detail. They should have good communication skills. They should be flexible in the workplace. They should have the ability to work independently.
