Transportation Enforcement Officer (Vehicle Inspector)
The Ministry of Transportation (MTO) is looking to hire Transport Enforcement Officers (Vehicle Inspectors). They will work in the Commercial Transportation Safety and Enforcement Division, Commercial Safety and Compliance Branch. 6 vacancies are open in Aurora, Stoney Creek, Scarborough, Mississauga and Waterloo, Ontario in Canada. The weekly salary will be $1,399.16 to $1,578.89. The last date to apply is January 5, 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
The candidate will be responsible for doing the roadside and facility inspections of the vehicles. They will take corrective actions when the vehicles are not compliant. They will inspect the vehicle inspection centres in the city. They will inspect the technicians too. They will write the inspection reports. They will act as a crown witness in the court proceeding.
Required Qualification:
The candidate should have a 310S or 310S and 310T. They should have a valid driver’s license. They should be able to complete the MTO training. They should be eligible to pass the security checks.
Experience Needed:
The candidate should have experience in inspecting. They should have experience in evaluation. They should have experience in preparing reports. They should have experience in communicating professionally with the public.
Skills and Competencies:
The candidate should have good judgment skills. They should have good communication skills. They should have good interpersonal skills. They should be able to stay objective during inspections.
