Technical Services Student

Parks Canada is looking to hire dedicated students under the Federal Student Work Experience Program (FSWEP). The job locations will be Quebec, Levis and Grosse Lle in Quebec. These are full time seasonal positions from May to August 2026. There could be an extension till mid-October. The applicants must be students. For the remote locations, the candidates will get an extra bonus. The salary will be $19.78 to $25.17 on per hour basis. The last date to apply is February 8, 2026.

Key Responsibilities:

The selected candidates will be responsible for maintaining the facilities and landscapes. They will help with tasks like masonry, carpentry and painting. They will work outdoors at tasks such as pathway upkeep, mowing and litter collection. They will help with the planting, weeding and preparing the soil. They will also do the indoor tasks like cleaning the buildings, vehicles etc. They will work in collaboration with the team.

Required Qualifications:

The candidate should be studying full time or part time at a college or university. They should be eligible to work in Canada. They should be eligible to get a reliability status. They should be able to do physically demanding jobs.

Experience Needed:

There is no particular requirement for experience, but the candidates should know about the usage of basic tools. They should have done physical tasks before. If the candidates have experience of working outdoors or in teams, that would be an asset.

Skills and Competencies:

The candidate should have good interpersonal skills. They should be able to work in a team. They should be willing to learn new tasks. They should have good stamina to work outdoors. They should have a positive attitude towards work.

 Benefits

The selected candidates will get a salary of $19.78 to $25.17 on per hour basis. For a remote location, they will get an extra $2.05 on per hour basis. They will be provided with training. They will be working in a supportive environment.
