Park Warden (seasonal)

The Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks (MECP) are looking to hire 4 dedicated candidates for the position of Park Warden (Seasonal). The job location will be Awenda Provincial Park in Tiny, Ontario, Canada. The job duration will be from May to October. The candidate should have experience of working in park, enforcement or natural resource management. The salary will be $25.78 to $28.72 on per hour basis. Key Responsibilities:

The candidates will be responsible for helping with the park enforcement and security. They will do the duties related to park resource management. The candidates will carry out the technical operations. They will provide customer service. They will provide the right information to the visitors. They will help with the facilities and keep everything up to date. 

Required Qualification:

There is no specific education requirement for applying for this position. The candidate should have a valid Ontario Class G driver’s license. The candidates should be available to work in shifts and on weekends. They should be eligible to pass a criminal record check.

Experience Needed:

The candidates should have experience with doing minor repairs. If the candidates have previous experience of working in parks, that would be an asset. They should know how to use different types of tools and equipment. They should have knowledge about resource management.

The candidates should have interpersonal skills. They should have good customer service skills. They should have leadership capability. They should have organizational skills. They should be able to work independently.

 Benefits

The selected candidates will get a salary of $25.78 to $28.72 on per hour basis. There will be annual recurring contracts.
