Parole Officer

Correctional Services Canada (CSC) is looking to hire a candidate for the position of Parole Officer (WP- 04). The job locations will be in Toronto, Hamilton, London, Ottawa, Kingston in Ontario and Iqaluit in Nunavut, Canada. The selected candidates will get a salary of $78,017 to $103,279 on per year basis. The candidates should have a post-secondary degree. The last date to apply is April 16, 2026.

Key Responsibilities:

The selected candidate will be responsible for helping the offenders in the community reintegration processes. They will document the rehabilitation of the offenders. They will conduct the interviews. They will motivate the offenders. They will make decisions based on the basis of nature of the offenders.

Required Qualification:

The candidate should be a graduate with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in the field of human behaviour.  They could have a combination of education and relevant experience. The candidate should be eligible to get an enhanced reliability security status.

Experience Needed:

The candidate should have the experience in analysing human behaviour. They should have experience in counselling. If the candidate has worked in a correctional centre before, that would be an asset.

Skills and Competencies:

The candidate should have judgment skills. They should have good communication skills. They should have cultural sensitivity. The candidate should be able to work in collaboration with the teams. They should be good at working independently as well.
