Gate Attendant (Seasonal)

The Ministry of Environment, Conservation and Parks in Ontario Parks are looking to hire a gate attendant (seasonal). The job location is Long Point Provincial Park in Port Rowan, Ontario. This is a contract duration for 28 weeks. The salary will be $23.69 to $27.32 on per hour basis. The working hours are 36.25 hours. The candidate should have a post-secondary education. Key Responsibilities:

The candidate will be responsible for managing the park permits. They will collect the fees in the park. They will keep a record of revenue every day. They will provide information to the park visitors. The candidate will help to train the volunteers. 

Required Qualification:

The candidate should have a post-secondary education. They will be working in shifts. The candidate should have basic knowledge of clerical work. The candidate should have a valid Ontario Class G driver’s license. 

Experience Needed:

The candidate should have experience in customer service. They should have experience in handling cash transactions. They should have worked in an office environment. They should have experience using computers.

Skills and Competencies:

The candidate should have good interpersonal skills. They should have good communication skills. They should know good mathematics. They should work according to policies. They should be proficient in using computers. They should be able to work in fast paced environment.
