Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Apprentice
The Aviation, Forest Fire and Emergency Services Branch of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry (MNRF) is looking to hire two Aircraft Maintenance Engineers Apprentice. The job location will be Sudbury and Timmins, Canada. The work duration will be up to 30 months.
Key Responsibilities:
The candidates will be responsible to assist the licensed aircraft maintenance engineers. They will look after the aircraft to identify any faults. They will help to find the pilot reported flight defects. The candidates will help to repair the parts of the aircraft under supervision. They will help in loading the security cargo.
Education:
The candidate should have completed a Transport Canada approved Aircraft maintenance training program. They should be eligible to get a Restricted radio telephone operator’s certificate. The candidates should be eligible to get airport security clearance.
Experience:
This would be an apprenticeship role, so any direct work experience is not required. The candidate should have training in aircraft systems. They should be eligible to use the tools and equipment. They should have experience in aircraft component handling.
Skills and Competencies:
The candidate should have knowledge about aircraft engines. They should know how to use precision tools. They should have strong coordination skills. They should be physically strong to lift the aircraft components. They should have analytical skills. They should have clear communication.
Benefits
The selected candidates will get a salary of $25.11–$27.14 on per hour basis for MM1 classification. They will get a salary of $26.98–$29.90 on per hour basis for MM2 after 12 months.
