Aircraft Maintenance Engineer

Transport Canada is looking to hire Aircraft Maintenance Engineers (EG-06) for the aircraft services. The location of the work will be Prince Rupert, British Columbia, Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

The key responsibilities of the hired employees will be to perform regular and unscheduled checks on rotary wing aircrafts. They will conduct inspections and troubleshoot any faults. They will keep a record of all the aircraft. The candidates will collaborate with the pilots and staff to maintain the schedules and repair the aircraft. They will have to participate in the audits and take initiatives.

Qualification:

The required qualification to apply for the job is a post-secondary education in aircraft maintenance or a combination of education and experience. The candidates are required to have a valid Canadian Aircraft maintenance Engineer license M1 or M2.

Experience:

3 years of experience in maintaining rotary aircrafts is necessary. There is a requirement for practical experience in repairing and troubleshooting the aircraft. The ability to work with the pilots and staff is required. Documentation and maintaining records are very important.

Skills and Competencies:

The candidate should have analytical thinking and problem solving techniques. They should have the ability to work in teams and to collaborate with the different stakeholders. The approach should be action oriented as there is a need to urgently address the faults in aircraft. Effective written and oral communication skills are important.
