Tour Guide

The Legislative Assembly of British Columbia is looking to hire 9 Tour Guides for the Parliamentary Education Office. The job location will be BC, Canada. The work positions will be open from April 27, 2026, to August 31, 2026. The selected candidates will work seven days a week.

Key Responsibilities:

The candidates will be responsible for elaborating the engaging historical tours of the Parliamentary buildings. They will present information on the history of British Columbia. They will describe Canada’s parliamentary system to a diverse group of people. They will adapt the presentations for a variety of community audiences like tourists, students, families and international audience. They will greet the visitors. The candidates will be required to participate in the training.

Qualification:

The candidate should be enrolled in an accredited post-secondary institution during the fall or spring semester. They should have experience in public speaking. They should be able to work in flexible schedules. The candidates will be required to stand for a longer period of time.

Experience:

The candidates should have experience working in a public setting. They should be experienced in working with children or international groups. They should be fluent in 2 languages.

Skills and Competencies:

The candidate should have good spoken English skills. They should be confident. They should be able to memorize the tour details. They should have customer service skills. The candidates should be good team player. They should be able to follow instructions.

 Benefits
