The Correctional Service Canada, CORCAN is looking to hire dedicated individuals for the post of Building Services Worker / Installations Instructor. The job will be located in Alberta, British Columbia, Ontario, Québec, Nova Scotia, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and New Brunswick. Key Responsibilities:

The candidate will be responsible for tasks like building service, installation and correction in the community and institution based correctional centres. They will mentor the offenders to do the tasks properly. They will install the projects for different types of clients. They will promote workplace safety standards. The candidates will collaborate with the CSC staff. They will collaborate with the stakeholders and community partners as well.

Required Qualification:

The candidate is required to have a secondary school diploma. The candidates who have a certification in construction or building trades will be considered an asset. The candidate should be eligible to work in Canada. They should be eligible to get a reliability status security clearance. They should have a valid driver’s license.

Experience Needed:

The candidate should have experience working in residential or commercial construction. If the candidates have worked in a correctional centre or masonry, that would be considered an asset.

The candidate should have strong oral and written communication skills. They should have good judgment skills. They should be action oriented. They should be able to mentor others. They should be able to work with different individuals.
