Occupational Therapist

CSC Occupational Therapist Jobs. Correctional Services Canada (CSC) is looking to hire Occupational Therapists to join the team in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. The selected candidates will work with the multidisciplinary Health Services Team. The therapists will be responsible for assessing, planning and delivering rehabilitation to help the offenders.

Key Responsibilities:

The candidates will conduct a bio-psychological assessment of the offenders to create a treatment plan. They will conduct group occupational therapies. They will document the process and prepare patient reports. They will look after the overall wellness of the offenders. They will identify self harm risks among the offenders. They will develop rehabilitation programs and collaborate with the interdisciplinary teams.

Education:

The candidates should be experienced in providing occupational therapy. The experience of working in a correctional setting would be an asset to the organization.

Skills and Competencies:

The candidates are required to have strong assessment skills and problem solving skills. They should have the ability to form rehabilitation plans. They should have strong communication skills and documentation abilities. They should have good judgment and the ability to handle high risk situations. They should be able to work in a structured and strict environment.
