Candidate Pool – Finance and Accounting

Defence Construction Canada (DCC) is looking forward to building a Candidate Pool for Finance and Accounting Professionals. The location will be Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. This would be an ongoing process that will aim to look for qualified candidate for permanent positions in the Contract Financial Teams.  

Key Responsibilities:

The main responsibility of the candidates will be to process the accounts that are payable, receivable and service billing. They will record project and contract budgets to ensure accuracy. The candidates will prepare the financial reports. They will provide guidance and support to their colleagues regarding financial matters.

Education:

The candidates should have knowledge of corporate finance. They should know about the accounting principles. They should know about the accounts processing and budget management. The candidates should be familiar with the accounting software like JD Edwards and SAP. They should be eligible to get a Reliability security clearance.

Experience:

The candidate should have experience in public sector finance. They should have worked with the high transaction volumes and financial controls. The candidates should have experience in contract administration, billing and audit processes.

Skills and Competencies:

The candidates should pay attention to detail. They should have strong analytical skills. The candidates should be proficient in Excel and financial software. They should have good communication skills.

 Benefits

The selected candidates will get a salary of $58,544 – $76,106 on per year basis. The additional roles are up to $88,417. They will get a comprehensive benefit package. The candidates will get a health and dental plan. They will get a pension. The candidates will also get $400 wellness allowance and $1500 mental health coverage.
