Environmental Public Health Officer

The Inuit Health Branch of Indigenous Services Canada (ISC) is looking to hire dedicated candidates for the position of Environmental Public Health Officers Inventory. The job location for the selected candidates for this position (EG- 06) will be in Fort Qu’Appelle, Prince Albert, Regina, and Saskatoon and Saskatchewan, in Canada. The salary for this position is $86,801 to $109,119 on per year basis. The last date to apply is December 11, 2026.

Key Responsibilities:

The selected candidates will be responsible for providing guidance about environmental health to the First Nation communities. They will conduct the inspections and checks. They will help with the program related to drinking water, food safety and waste management. They will monitor the environmental health indicators. The candidates will participate in the emergency preparations. They will travel frequently.

Required Qualifications:

The candidate should have a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in public health, health sciences or a related field. Or they should have a combination of education and experience. They should have a Certificate in Public Health Inspection. They should be eligible to get a Reliability Status security clearance. They should have a valid driver’s license.

Experience Needed:

The candidate should have experience in environmental public health services. They should have worked with the First Nation communities. They should have experience in preparing recommendations for management.

Skills and Competencies:

The candidates should have good communication skills. They should be able to work independently. They should have cultural awareness. They should have the confidence to prepare and present the public health awareness programs.
