Financial Auditor

The Office of the Auditor General of British Columbia (OAG) is looking to hire Financial Auditors. The candidates will work in the Financial Audit and Related Services Division. The job location will be Victoria or Vancouver, BC, Canada. This is a regular job opportunity with full time role.

Key Responsibilities:

The selected candidates will be responsible for planning the financial statements. They will prepare a report on it. They will do the audit tasks. They will finish the tasks on time. They will look after the material misstatement. They will do interviews with the auditees. They will evaluate the audits. They will test the audits for correction. They will provide coaching to the team.

Qualification:

The candidates will have a designation of Canadian Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA). The candidates with CPA and CFE will be considered for senior positions. The candidate should be eligible to work in Canada.

Experience:

The candidates should have 2 years of experience working in a financial institution. They should have experience in conducting audits. They should have experience in preparing audit documents. They should know how to apply CAS/ GAAP principles.

Skills and Competencies:

The candidates should have good analytical thinking. They should have problem solving abilities. They should have good written and spoken English skills. They should be able to work as part of the team as well as independently.
