General Flight Standards Inspector

Transport Canada is looking to hire a General Flight Standards Inspector. The candidate will work in the Strategy and Emerging Technology group. The job is based in  different locations in Canada like Vancouver, Winnipeg, Moncton, Ottawa and Toronto.

Key Responsibilities:

The selected candidate will be responsible for working on the aviation standards. They will help team by guiding them on safety management systems. The candidate will help to include new technologies in the national aviation system. The candidate will collaborate with the internal teams. They will represent Canada in technical committees.

Qualification:

The candidate should have a secondary school diploma. A combination of education and relevant experience is also acceptable. They should have an ATPL certificate. The candidate should have a commercial pilot’s license. They should be eligible to get a secret security clearance. The candidate should have a valid driver’s license.

Experience:

The candidate should have experience working in the Safety Management System (SMS). They should have knowledge of CARs. The candidate should be able to work under high pressure. They should be able to travel to different places.

Skills and Competencies:

The candidate should have good communication skills. They should have excellent interpersonal skills. The candidate should be confident. They should have leadership qualities. The candidate should be good at risk management.
