Heating Plant Operator

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), technical services unit is looking to hire one dedicated candidate for the post of Heating Plant Operator HP- 04 (SP- EVO- 04) in Regina, Saskatchewan. This is an indeterminate full time position. The candidate should have a Third Class Power Engineering Certificate. The selected candidate will get a salary of $41.17 to $43.25 on per hour basis. Key Responsibilities:

The candidate will be responsible for operating a central high pressure steam plant. The candidate will do the routine inspection and maintenance of the plant. They will operate the PLC system. They will supervise the activities and tasks. They will maintain accurate reports and documentation. They will work within the safety regulations.

Required Qualifications:

The candidate should have a valid Third Class Power Engineering Certificate. They should have a valid Canadian driver’s license. The candidate should be eligible to get an enhanced reliability status security clearance. They should be able to work on site in Regina.

Experience Needed:

The candidate should have experience working in a central high pressure steam plant. They should have experience working with PLCs. They should have knowledge of pressure vessel inspection. They should have experience in applying the safety procedures. They should have experience in industrial plant operations.

The candidate should have strong written and oral communication skills. They should have good judgment. They should have problem solving skills. They should be able to work under pressure. The candidate should be able to work independently. They should be able to work in a physically demanding environment.
