Medical Device Reprocessing Technician

The Department of National Defence (DND) is looking for 6 dedicated candidates for the position of Medical Device Reprocessing Technician HS- PHS- 06 under the Canadian Forces Health Services. The job location will be Ontario, British Columbia, Quebec, Alberta, Manitoba, Nova Scotia, Saskatchewan, New Brunswick, labrador and Newfoundland. The candidates should have a secondary school diploma. They will get a salary of $36.45 to $39.59 on per hour basis. The last date to apply is March 31, 2026.

Key Responsibilities:

The selected candidates will be required to clean and sterilize medical and dental instruments. They will store the equipment. They will operate the equipment like autoclaves, washers and ultrasound cleaners. They should be able to follow CSA Z3 14 Canadian Medical device Reprocessing Standards. They should make sure that the instruments are labelled properly. They will support the healthcare teams.

Required Qualifications:

The candidate should have a secondary school diploma. They could also have a combination of education, training, or relevant experience. They should be able to write the CMDRT certification exam. They should be eligible to get a Reliability Status security clearance.

Experience Needed:

The candidates should have one year of experience in the healthcare environment related to medical device reprocessing. They should have experience of using the instruments with CSA Z3 14 standards. They should be experienced in using the tracking and labelling system. They should have experience in sterilizing equipment.
