Mushroom Picker

Ponderosa Mushrooms & Speciality Foods is looking to hire 4 Mushroom Pickers. The job location is Maple Ridge, British Columbia in Canada. This is a full time role with a permanent job opportunity. This role requires candidates to do hard physical labour.

Key Responsibilities:

The candidates will be responsible for hand picking the mushrooms and other farm products. They will grade the vegetables and fruits based on the quality of the product. The candidates will check the product for freshness. They will clean the working area. They will work with the farm machinery. They will shear the plants and trees on the farm. They will identify any diseases in the plants and crops.

Required Qualification:

There is no requirement for any certificate or degree. The candidate should be eligible to work in Canada. They should be able to do physical tasks. The candidates should be able to put in extra time for work.

Experience Needed:

There is no experience requirement. But if the candidate has worked at a farm in the past, that will be considered an asset. The training will be provided to the candidates selected for the job.

Skills and Competencies:

The candidates should pay attention to details. They should have physical stamina to do the hard work. They should have knowledge of caring for the plants. They should be able to work independently and as part of the team. They should be punctual.

 Benefits

The selected candidate will get a salary of $17.85 on per hour basis. They will get to work for 40 hours per week. This will be a stable job. This is a permanent job opportunity. There will be flexible working hours available. The candidates will be able to gain experience of agricultural work.
