Gate Attendant (Seasonal)

Ministry of Environment, Conservation and Parks is looking to hire a Gate Attendant (Seasonal). The job will be in Ontario Parks at Port Burwell Provincial Park located in Port Burwell, Ontario. There is an hourly salary of $23.69 – $27.32. The last date to apply is January 16, 2026.

Key Responsibilities:

The candidate will be responsible for issuing and managing the permits for the park. They will check the visitor’s documents. They will collect the park fees. The candidate will sell the merchandise. The candidate will record the received revenues. They will register the park users. The candidate will provide information to the visitors. They will guide the students and volunteers. The candidate will follow the policies and regulations at the park. The candidate will work on the rotating shifts.

Required Qualification:

The candidate should have a secondary school education or a combination of relevant education and experience. They should have a valid Class G Ontario driver’s license.

Experience Needed:

The candidate should have experience in public service. They should have experience in cash handling. They should have worked in an office. 

Skills and Competencies:

The candidate should have good communication skills. They should have good financial skills. They should have computer skills. They should have organisational skills. They should be able to understand the policies and apply them.
