Carpenter

Parks Canada, Cape Brenton Highlands National Park of Canada, Nova Scotia, is looking to hire a dedicated candidate for the post of Carpenter. The job location will be Chet Camp or Ingo Nish Beach. The candidate should have completed a post-secondary program and a Journeyman Carpenter Certificate. The salary will range from $35.18 to $38.24 on per hour basis. The closing date for the applications is February 22, 2026.

Key Responsibilities:

The candidate will be responsible for providing carpentry services for the local residential  buildings. They will do the maintenance and repair in the park. They will use the construction drawings to work. They will make sure to follow the safety standards. The candidate will be required to travel. They will work with the maintenance teams.

Required Qualifications:

The candidate should have post-secondary certificate. They should have a Journeyman Carpenter Certificate already. They should be eligible to work in Canada. The candidate should have a valid Class 5 driver’s license. They should be eligible to get a reliability status security clearance.

Experience Needed:

The candidate should have experience in the carpentry trade. They should have experience working in residential buildings. They should have experience in supervising projects.

Skills and Competencies:

The candidate should have strong knowledge of carpentry methods. They should have knowledge of the safety standards. The candidate should have good communication skills. They should have good judgment skills. They should have problem solving skills.
