Parks Seasonal Gardener

The City of Calgary is looking to hire 40 candidates for the position of Parks Seasonal Gardeners. The job location will be Calgary, Alberta in Canada. These are full time and temporary job positions. The candidates should have a 2 year diploma in horticulture or a Journeyperson Landscape Gardner certification. The selected candidates will get a salary of $40.33 to $44.70 on per hour basis. The last date apply is January 28, 2026.

Key Responsibilities:

The selected candidates will be responsible for implementing the horticulture plans in the parks every year. They will calculate the requirements of the plants. They will design beds for flowers and shrubs. The candidates will do the garden maintenance and park maintenance. They will look for any pests and diseases in the plants. They will train the team of labourers to work in the park. They will respond to the enquiries of the public.

Required Qualifications:

The candidates should have a 2 year diploma in horticulture. They could also have a Journeyperson Landscape Gardner certification. The candidates should have a valid Class 5 Driver’s license. They should know how to use Microsoft Excel and Outlook.

Experience Needed:

The candidates should have experience working in the horticulture field. They should have experience in hard landscaping. The candidates should have experience in pest management. They should have experience in leading a team.
