Seasonal Maintenance Crew Member

Recreational Sites and Trails BC (RSTBC) is looking to hire Crew members for full time and on site roles with temporary work opportunities. The job locations will be Cranbrook, Nelson and Revelstoke in Canada. The job duration is from May 4  to August 28, 2026.

Key Responsibilities:

The candidates will be responsible for carrying out the maintenance at recreational sites. They will help in trail construction. They will operate hand and power tools. They will help with visitor interactions. The candidates will follow the safety standards. They will follow safe work practices. They will stay at sites overnight when required.

Qualification:

The candidate should have passed grade 12 or GED. Along with this, they should have either completed a diploma in outdoor recreation management or have work experience in the same field. They should have a valid Class 5 driver’s license. They should be eligible to get Work Safe BC Basic Occupational First Aid (OFA1).

Experience:

The candidate should have volunteer experience of 6 months in a similar setting. They should have worked in outdoor maintenance teams. They should have experience in trail building. The candidates should have experience in forestry or a similar field. They should have worked in parks in the past.

Skills and Competencies:

The candidates should have good physical stamina. They should have problem solving skills. They should be good at team work. They should be able to work in remote settings.

 Benefits

The candidates will get a salary of $26.16 – $29.41 on per hour basis. They will be provided with training. They will be provided with first aid certification. There will be skill development courses for the candidates.
