Sidewalk Plow Operator

The City of Ottawa, Public works Department, is looking to hire candidates for the position of Sidewalk Plow Operator. The position is located in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. The selected candidates will make a salary of $21.00 on per hour basis. There are different vacancies available. The candidate should have completed Grade 10. Key Responsibilities:

The candidate will be responsible for operating the sidewalk Plow equipment. They will help in the removal of the snow. They will clear the sidewalks and path walks. They will also maintain the infrastructure. The candidate will follow the safety procedures. They will do duties related to roadways and sidewalks. They will work in different weather conditions.

Required Qualification:

The candidate should have completed Grade 10. They should have a Valid Ontario unrestricted Class G Driver’s license. They should have an unrestricted DZ class driver’s license. If the candidates have done a defensive driving course, that will be an asset.

Experience Needed:

The candidate should have a minimum of 7 months of experience. They should have experience in operating industrial level equipment. They should have experience working outdoors.

Skills and Competencies:

The candidate should have knowledge of safety legislation. They should be able to follow safety procedures. They should have good driving skills. They should be able to work independently. The candidate should have good communication skills in the English language. They should have good physical stamina.
