Transportation Engineer

The city of Toronto, Transport Services Division, Planning, Design and Management Section is looking to hire Transportation Engineers. This is a full time temporary position. The job location is 65 Front Street West, Toronto in Canada. This will be a hybrid work opportunity for the candidates.

Key Responsibilities:

The candidates will be responsible for planning and managing the road safety infrastructure. They will prepare the engineering designs. They will prepare the technical drawings and cost estimates. The candidates will prepare the proposals. They will prepare the contracts. They will look after the quality assurance. They will coordinate multidisciplinary projects. The candidates will do the research.

Required Qualification:

The candidates will be required to have a university degree in civil engineering, transportation engineering or a relevant field. They must be registered with Professional Engineers Ontario. They should have knowledge of the legislation.

Experience Needed:

The candidate should have experience in transportation engineering like road design, traffic engineering etc. They should have experience of working on complex projects. They should have experience in collaborating with stakeholders.

Skills and Competencies:

The candidates should have good technical skills. They should be proficient in engineering design software. They should have knowledge of GIS tools. They should have good communication skills. They should know how to collaborate well.
